1. Course Suitability
1.1 The CPD course is designed for current yoga teachers and wellness professionals demonstrating commitment, and professionalism,.
1.2 Applicants must already hold a recognised yoga teaching qualification.
1.3 The course welcomes teachers looking to gain their qualification in Yin & Restorative teaching skills, sequencing, cueing, and class facilitation.
2. Course Purpose
2.1 The course provides professional development for Yin & Restorative teaching skills, sequencing, cueing, breathwork, and meditative facilitation.
2.2 It is equally suitable for teachers wishing to grow professionally or deepen their in-studio teaching practice.
3. Teaching Practice and Accreditation
3.1 Trainees will gain practical in-studio experience teaching Yin & Restorative embedded in its’ history, methodology, and ethos.
3.2 Trainees are encouraged to maintain personal liability insurance where required.
3.3 Upon successful completion, graduates will receive a 40-Hour CPD Certificate recognized by Yoga Alliance UK.
3.4 Graduates are responsible for maintaining professional teaching insurance and first aid qualifications.
4. Meeting the Faculty
4.1 Prospective trainees may meet the Lead Teacher through a 1:1 Discovery Call.
5. Confidence and Teaching Readiness
5.1 Teachers can expect to develop confidence, presence, and clarity in teaching Yin & Restorative classes.
5.2 Regular participation ensures trainees gain the skills and insight to teach safely and effectively for diverse student needs.
6. Inclusivity and Learning Support
6.1 The training team is committed to supporting teachers with diverse learning needs.
6.2 Teachers must inform the Lead Teacher in advance of any specific requirements to discuss suitable accommodations.
7. Course Workload and Attendance
7.1 Teachers should anticipate additional preparation, reflection, or observation outside the in-studio sessions.
7.2 Attendance at all in-studio sessions is expected.
7.3 If a teacher misses a session, they may be required to:
- Review session recordings (if available)
- Complete any associated reflective tasks
7.4 Teachers missing more than 1 session may need to arrange private make-up sessions, charged at £90/hour (subject to change).
8. Assessment and Progress
8.1 Teachers are expected to actively participate in all sessions and complete any reflective exercises.
8.2 Additional mentoring or support may be offered if needed, which may incur extra fees.
9. Course Cancellation and Refund Policy
9.1 Studio Cancellation: If the course is cancelled by the studio, teachers will receive a full refund or may transfer to the next available intake.
9.2 Teacher Cancellation:
- Cancellations made at least 30 days before the start date receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit, or a one-time transfer (subject to availability).
- Cancellations fewer than 30 days before the start date are non-refundable, though a one-time transfer may be offered for a £100 administration fee.
- Transfers must be used within 12 months of the original start dates.
9.3 Non-Attendance: Refunds or transfers are not provided for non-attendance due to illness, work, or personal circumstances.
9.4 Unconditional Policy: This policy applies to all teachers equally and is unconditional.
10. Course Adjustments
10.1 If the studio must close due to circumstances beyond control, sessions may be rescheduled in-studio or delivered online via livestream where possible.
11. Post-Completion Opportunities
11.1 Completion of this CPD does not guarantee employment at URBΔN ŌM, but teachers may be considered for future teaching opportunities.
12. Liability and Disclaimer
12.1 The studio reserves the right to make changes to course content, schedule, faculty, or fees as necessary.
12.2 Participation is at the teacher’s own risk. URBΔN ŌM, its teachers, and staff are not liable for injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation.
12.3 Teachers are responsible for ensuring they are physically and mentally fit to participate.
